Taekwondo

I am active in the Olympic Sport of Taekwondo. Taekwondo is the traditional martial art of Korea that is now an Olympic event.

My Taekwondo qualifications are:

  • - Rank of 6th Dan Black belt with the (WTF) World Taekwondo Federation.
  • - First Class (Canadian) National referee
  • - 1st and 2nd level (Technical) Coaching under NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program.)
  • - Years ago, I competed (at senior, over 35 level)
  • - Teach at the Bluewater Taekwondo club
  • -  Referee at tournaments
  • -  Member of the CAO (Coaches Association of Ontario)

I am part of the political structure of Taekwondo in Ontario. I have been on the board of directors of the (OTA) Ontario Taekwondo Association since 1985. I was the OTA's treasurer for eight years between 1995 and 2003.  I was re-elected as one of the Southwestern Ontario Directors in 2003.

The Provincial Government recognizes the  Ontario Taekwondo Association   as the PSO (Provincial Sport Organization) for Taekwondo. The OTA is a member of WTF Taekwondo Association of Canada, which is in turn a member of the Canadian Olympic Association and the (WTF) World Taekwondo Federation.
